This year we’re also excited to be gathering in a beautiful new venue, making the experience feel even more special. We now have just one space remaining, and it would be wonderful to welcome one more guest to join us for four days of sewing, creativity and connection in this stunning setting.
Welcome to Your New Retreat Location:
Nestled on a working farm in Avebury, this stunning location is within one of Wiltshire's most historic and beautiful landscapes - just 1.5 hours from London.
6 luxury self-catering stables have been beautifully transformed into inviting homes that circle a landscaped courtyard, creating a serene heart to our retreat. Weather permitting, meals can be shared under the pergola or in the gorgeous granary. Each property has its own unique character and layout, with different bedroom options. Two properties can be hired exclusively. Each property has its own kitchen and lounge area, ideal for slow mornings before a day of sewing and connection.
The dates:
Check in Sunday 20 September PM - check out Thursday 24 September AM
On Thursday, you'll check out of the accommodation (10am) and spend the day in the sewing room. Guests are then free to travel home late afternoon. The retreat closes at 4pm
Sewing Patterns
You’ll receive two Avid Seamstress sewing patterns in advance, giving you the perfect opportunity to make one of our designs with expert guidance throughout the retreat. We’ll share plenty of tips to help elevate your sewing and build confidence in your skills. Before the retreat, we’ll talk through the pattern options together and, if any preparation is needed, we’ll guide you every step of the way. We’re also happy to help with fabric choices, fitting and any pre-retreat preparation so you arrive feeling ready to enjoy the experience.
What you need to bring:
- Sewing machine (we have three sewing machines that can be borrowed if your travel doesn't permit you to bring your machine)
- Optional - Overlocker (we do have three overlockers that will be set up and available to use)
- Fabric - prewashed
- Haberdashery for your project ~ zip / button / pins
- Matching thread

Lisa and Amanda will welcome you with open arms. Our retreats are a warm, inclusive space for you to relax and unwind creating new friendships and experiences along the way.
Payment Plan: We offer a payment plan for our retreats which spreads the cost over as many months as possible. Click on the link below for more info.

We're thrilled to offer a smooth, manageable payment plan for our workshops and retreats. After an initial deposit, you can spread out the remaining payments over several months, with the last one completed a month before your workshop or retreat. It's our way of ensuring that the excitement of learning new skills and joining our supportive community is within everyone's reach.

Bedroom 1 - King-size en-suite with bath (accessed via a built-in ladder) with stunning views of Silbury Hill.
Bedroom 2 - King-sized bedroom on the ground floor
Bedroom 3 - Twin room on the ground floor - price is for single occupancy.
The ground-floor bedrooms share a bathroom.
Both of these bedrooms share a shower on the ground floor.
